Add an Offering Category
As a church treasurer, you will need to manage the local offering categories for your church. The category for Tithe is already provided for you at the top of the envelope, as are all the categories for Conference, Union, and World offerings. You will not be able to add or remove these categories, or change the information donors see about them.
Please do not add Tithe as a local offering category. We can only receive Tithe donations through the category already provided.
We can now process non-tax-deductible transactions as well, for example, Pathfinder dues! Please use this freedom responsibly. Collection of many such transactions (student tuition, rental agreements, etc) may be considered a misuse of the system. Please keep the offering categories specific to church functions or ministries.
To add a new local offering category for your church,
- Go to the treasurer portal for your church.
- Go to the "Offering Categories" tab.
- Click the "Add New Category" button.
- Enter the information for this category including the name, offering code, and description.
- Click on "Save"
